Rosenblatt is a full service commercial law
firm that practices English law on behalf of a wide range of national
and international clients, who operate in such diverse fields as newspaper,
book and magazine publishing, marketing services, media services, television
and broadcasting, insurance, technology, music, construction, real estate
and financial services. In the past year Rosenblatt has handled public
market deals in excess of £1.5bn and developed considerable experience
in renewable energy, recently acting on a number of substantial wind and
bio-fuel projects, with closed wind farm transactions totalling £500m.
The corporate department is supported by a financial services team who
provide regulatory and compliance advice and tax team. The insolvency
team supports the corporate department offering advice on pre-packaged
administrations and corporate restructuring, and handle personal and corporate
insolvency, which has in several cases been covered in the law reports.
The property department handles all aspects of commercial and residential
property including site assembly transaction, negotiations with local
authorities and the preparation of infrastructure agreements. The department
also handles secured lending for banks and provides support to the corporate
department; in the past year its work has contributed to the firm's involvement
in the flotation of property funds raising an aggregate of £350m.
Litigation covers a range of commercial disputes as well as having particular
interest in shareholder litigation, copyright and other intellectual property
disputes as well as European Court work. Media litigation is undertaken,
which is an invaluable asset to the firm's work involving defence or initiation
of hostile takeovers. The dedicated employment team has been involved
in a number of significant and high profile cases, and handle redundancy,
the drafting and enforcement of restrictive agreements and wrongful and
unfair dismissal claims (for both employer and employee). |
